14.02.24 Meeting

If anyone wants more information on the Relay for Life we have a meeting on the 20th February 7pm in the Holland Hotel Llanfachraeth. Open door :)

We already have 14 teams registered.

11.04.23 We now have 24 teams already registered!

We are doing something a bit different this year at 2.30pm for one hour we are having 'these kids are heroes team ' so if your child wants to join in with the fun of Relay but you can't commit to 24 hours this is perfect for you ! The password to join the team is heroes.

Also ! At 4.30pm for one hour we have a 'blue light brigade team 'so if you're a blue light worker and want to join us for one hour this is perfect for you. The password to join the team is bluelight. 9 weeks to go!!!

02.02.23 World Cancer Day

World cancer day is February the 4th and to celebrate Gwynedd and Anglesey have arranged for lots of the locals schools to wear purple for the day , as the colour purple represents all cancers ! We have had a great response over 5500 children are taking part and we want to thank everyone that has got involved !

Registration has now opened and we already have 15 teams registered !

Teams which register before the end of December receive a £50 incentive towards their teams fundraising total

FINALLY! Relay for Life Gwynedd and Anglesey is back ! After the great success of 2019 we cant wait to welcome you all back onto the track in June !

23.03.20 Relay For Life Gwynedd & Anglesey 2020 Postponed

Your health is our top priority and we want to hold our Relay at a time when it’s safe for us all to enjoy.

We’ll be postponing our event, we will share more information in the coming weeks, and will be in touch with some fun, new ways for how you can continue to fundraise virtually and at home.

We’re here to support your fundraising in the months to come.

These are uncertain times and we understand that you might have questions or worries about coronavirus and how it could affect you, a friend or family member who has, or has had, cancer. You can find some guidance on coronavirus on the Cancer Research UK website, along with other useful links and information. We’d also recommend talking to your cancer team if you have questions, and to follow NHS advice to reduce your risk of catching coronavirus.

As the weeks and months progress, we know that our Relay community will remain strong and united in support of each other and our mission to beat cancer. We look forward to meeting with you all again soon.

We’re holding an open evening for anybody who wants to learn more about relay for life - be great to see as many new faces as possible.

19.11.19 HAVE YOU HEARD OF RELAY???

Want to beat Cancer? Want to be part of something amazing ..... and very fun too? Do it!

This is for EVERYONE.

• - Only 2 Relays in the whole of Wales
• - Anglesey and Gwynedd Relay raised £97k last year
• - All spent in Wales. So funding will directly or indirectly help you or a loved one.

SO EXACTLY HOW DOES IT WORK AND HOW DO I HELP KICK CANCERS BUTT?

• - Simply enter a team of 8-15 friends, family, colleagues.
• -Age/Gender/Fitness is not important. This is for everyone.
• - Have fun fundraising throughout the year. Bucket shaking, cakes sales, quiz or music nights. We give you merchandise to sell too and support you all the way.
  Relay Day 20th-21st June 2020 is all about celebrating your teams fundraising success!! Camp out at the track, enjoy the atmosphere, the music, stalls, family atmosphere, night time silent disco
• - Walk as a team around the track for 24 hours. CANCER DOESN'T SLEEP SO NEITHER DO WE
• - Fun Themed Laps - any excuse for fancy dress!!
• - Rule - at least 1 team member needs to be on the track at all times - don't worry when split between your team it's definitely achievable!
• - Candle of Hope ceremony early evening is an amazingly touching part of relay - lighting decorated candle bags to celebrate rare those touched by cancer
